Almost there - window treatments are up!

Blinds and pelmets made by mum and installed by dad! (my parent's rock by the way!)

We are almost done! Flooring has been chosen - just waiting to install. The only other things are a tiny job from the plumber to install the dishwasher (which is why it is sitting out to allow access) and for the two filler pieces to be put either side of the stove and the cupboard above the stove. This will allow us to attach the rangehood.

Then we are DONE!!!!

Happy happy happy HAPPY!

Total indecisiveness...

I need to choose flooring.
In a hurry. This is the last thing I need to do.

Apparently I have expensive taste. The name "titanium range" is never going to be a good sign is it?

These are my slightly less expensive options. Just wish I could make up my mind.

The office - the dream ...

My office is in my garage.
As are some of Eliana's larger toys (eg playhouse)
And my craft stuff. And sewing stuff.

Our office is a mishmash of inherited furniture and clutter.
It contains things left over from the kitchen reno.
There is no space to work. Or spread out.

I have a dream.
An office where my family can work in peace.
Where we can learn and play together. Side by side.
A place where we can be inspired. Where we can think big thoughts. And dream big dreams.

Here it is. The beginning. Part one of our journey - the family desk.

Later in the year we will be joined by the sewing space, and the craft table ... but every journey begins with a single step - right?

Take the time today ...

To put something in your home - just because it makes you smile.

Thank you mum! It's perfect!

Enjoy every season ...

I love to decorate. My journey to simplicity though, is teaching me to only bring out things that are beautiful, make me smile, and do not add clutter to our lives.

One thing I love to do is decorate my table. I am trying hard to keep this table beautiful, and free of papers and all the things we tend to dump on there. But I love to decorate my table with beautiful things that make me smile.

This was our table during February. Valentine's Day, and our anniversary.

And this is my table right now.

I *heart* St Patrick's day! I'm not irish ... not officially - although I swear it is rubbing off on me. I do love everything to do with St Patrick's Day! In my 20's the local Irish pub was our haunt of choice, my flatmate played fiddle in an irish band ... and I sure don't mind the odd pint.

But even better - my husband and I got together on St Patrick's Day way back in 1999.

So I love St Patrick's Day! And I love bringing a little bit of the fun of the day into my home!

Don't get caught up in the decluttering journey and forget the things you love! Our homes are where our hearts are ... make sure you show your heart to those you welcome into your home.

honestly ... and struggles

I know I've been a bit quiet.

And I'm sorry for that - my enthusiasm has had just a little break.

In the past two weeks I've had a sick girl, then a sick husband and a sick me.

And I'm struggling with my moods a bit at the moment (and all this rain isn't helping!)

As I say to Miss E - I just need to take my crankypants off and start anew!!

I have some great new projects and ideas to show you - and a lot of honesty on my journey.

So stay tuned! I promise I'll be back tomorrow with an update! Nothing like a new project to give me the pick me up I need!
