Thursday

No TA DA list for Tuesday or Wednesday!

Tuesday was a trip to the ob (which seems to take ALL DAY with the drive)
and
Wednesday was all about work (then coming home exhausted!)

My big WIN is that we have been spending just five minutes and a family picking up after dinner, and it is making the world of difference. Miss 7 helps us and then we go help her in her room. I think it makes her feel good to help

Today's Ta-Da list will be small, compact, and what needs to be done.
It will be house maintenence - not decluttering and big wins.

My body is tired - I have a sore throat, and at 30 weeks pregnant I am taking care of me! But I still want to maintain where I am at.

So TA DA list for Thursday

  • empty dishwasher
  • load and run dishwasher
  • hang load laundry
  • run load laundry
  • hang second load laundry
  • wash load nappies
  • stress over baby names
  • unload dishwasher
  • cook lunch
  • load dishwasher
  • updated baby's journal
  • empty garbage
  • recycling out

Oh and a nap. And an early night. Yep.

TA DA List - Sunday!

As Sunday begins I am still a little sore from yesterday's efforts.

So the PLAN as the day begins is just to do things to maintain what I have accomplished so far and some basic housework - to leave the decluttering to another day. If I stick to that plan is yet to be seen though!

Pottering away ...

I can't wait to settle down with a coffee soon and my new book!
Everything in it is pretty and bright and cheery - and some of it even looks easy enough for MY sewing skills!!

Today's TA DA list is a little less extensive.
Work has knocked my almost 30 week pregnant body about. Today I am dedicating to resting and recovering. I need to look after myself so I can work as long as possible.

But I'm still happy. I'm maintaining what I've done and getting a few little extra things done each day ...

TA DA LIST Friday!

  • load and run dishwasher
  • run load of laundry x2
  • Wipe kitchen counters
  • Rubbish out

THIS is why I love my TADA list! It might have started out a day without a lot of intent to clean - but by recongnising the big and the little things I've done my house is looking tidy (enough) but more importantly a GARBAGE BAG of stuff is out of my life! (plus two grocery bags of meds/vitamins!

LOVE my TADA list!

Coffee with a fellow preggy mum! What a great way to remind me how normal my feelings are and to bring a smile to my face!

After two very busy days at work I have another day at home.

I am loving the accountability of keeping a Ta-da List of the things I accomplish during the day - it makes me more productive and I feel so much more balanced!

So here it is! The Ta da list for Wednesday!

  • Load dishwasher x 3
  • Tidy kitchen
  • Pay bills and do banking
  • School drop off
  • Collect mail
  • COFFEE with a friend :)
  • Bring in washing
  • Hang out washing x 3
  • Start load laundry x 2
  • Fold washing
  • Garbage to bin
  • Pay mobile bill

  • Uniforms out for tomorrow
  • Washing put away
  • Tidied hallway table hotspot
  • Quick tidy of nursery
It's been a good day. No MASSIVE wins on the housework front - but I've consistently gotten things done knowing that my body needs to cope with another work day tomorrow. And these consistent days are making a big difference. I feel my home is under MUCH better control!

You know what else I have noticed? Since I've had my home back under control I am calmer. And Miss 7 is calmer. And she's happier to play at home instead of being off and DOING things all the time.

Yep - the calm in the chaos. That's why we do this.

Blessed to be at home ...

Today is my idea of a perfect day.

My family is home.

I am home.

And we have nowhere to be and no commitments at all.

Today I am dedicating to pottering, sorting, nesting, bringing order ... and just enjoying the space we live in!

Thank God for a rare good night's sleep! And for a burst of energy!

Lately I have really enjoyed sorting my home ... I think the nesting is in full throttle!

Today I have

Sorted a LOT of laundry!

Done one, two, loads of laundry.

Sorted out some of mine and Miss E's draws, and given clothes to charity, put away too small sizes for Miss E.

Ironed uniforms for the week ahead

Cleaned the dishwasher.

Ran several loads of dishes!

Caught up with some blogs

Tidied the laundry

Put away some cloth nappies that I have washed from when Miss 7 was a baby

Cooked a roast lamb dinner :)

Went for a walk with Miss 7 :)

And now it is time to have a hot shower and snuggle into my pjs!

All the time this has gone on Miss E has had a beautiful day! Playing with puzzles, toys, lego ... I think sometimes we get far too involved in "what should we do" today that we don't allow all of us time to just be.

The nursery - a work in progress

It's a work in progress - but I'm loving it so far!

50 a day declutter challenge

Call it nesting.
But for some reason I want my house freed of STUFF!

So I've set myself a challenge.
Get rid of 50 "things" a day.

These may be big things - like clothes. Or small like paper clutter.

50 things a day for the month of May.

So far I'm almost up to date.

I will be very very soon

Here's to less stuff to sort and organise in June!

Just like her mum

Curled up, head in a book.

Since Miss 7 has gotten to read chapter books in her head a whole new world has opened to her!

Current read - Charlie and the Chocolate factory! I doubt it will last the whole weekend!

Better go hunt the movie  down - I promised her if she read it we could watch the movie ... just actually didn't expect her to last the whole book without getting bored!

Told me it was time to update our "status"

Hmmm...

10 months between posts?? That isnt really that long is it??

I havn't blogged here ... My focus has been on my health and fitness blog "courage2start". It's been quite the journey and I'm still having a ball with it!

But ... Part of my focus is changing ... We have been blessed beyond measure. Despite believing we were to be content as a family oF 3, God has shocked and suprised us!

Come August,'m rejuvinating this blog. we willl be a family of FOUR! Quite the adventure is ahead!

Thinking of my year at home with a newborn has led my heart to thoughts of our house snd our home. Some of my happiest days lately are the days at home pottering and cleaning and restoring peace to the chaos!

So, I'm rejuvinating this blog. To share stories of my days at home, balancing work, family and home, and stories of our life as three (and becoming four!)

Time to find that calm in the chaos once again
